You know who they are, they're those outspoken professors who rarely teach but rather bloviate in an attempt to indoctrinate the captive audience. They are some of the most powerful people in America; they have the ability to affect the public consciousness and manipulate the ideas in the public's mind.
Our mission at Take Back Academia is to have students take interest, take charge, and take back academia. We want students to take an active role in their education and expose the bias in schools.
Barack Obama made an unexpected appearance at the White House Press Briefing this morning.
A reporter told Obama that small businesses can't anticipate the future, they can't anticipate future costs and taxes, and because of that uncertainty, they are not hiring.
O-man said that the problem is with loans...
Check out the exchange and my analysis after the jump...
According to Who Runs Gov, In an interview that will be published online later this month, Republican Chairman Michael Steele said that his critics are motivated by racism.
Here the an excerpt of the article:
Steele acknowledges that at times he has a tendency to take things too far. “And I get checked on that, just as when I was a young boy and I pushed the envelope too far and my Mama was there to check me.”
But there’s an edge to his voice when he talks about a double standard that he believes has been applied by his critics, and he posits racism as the cause: “I don’t see stories about the internal operations of the DNC that I see about this operation. Why? Is it because Michael Steele is the chairman, or is it because a black man is chairman?"
Does Michael Steele get criticized? Yes. Do I dish some of it out? Hell yeah.
Does that mean it's race-based? Hell no.
The problem with the race card is that it's juvenile and offensive. I am offended that the leader of my political party thinks that the reason I criticize him is because his skin is a different color.
There absolutely is a double-standard, but you can't play the race-baiting game.
Look, this may be a ploy to get himself back into the news--because, let's face it, he's been laying low for a while. If it is, Mr. Steele must have been in some serious need of attention.
Some Republicans may disagree with me, but hey, it's because they're racist.
But in all seriousness, if I am off base in my anger with Mr. Steele, let me know!
White House Press Secretary Bobby Gibbs, in a clear effort to mock former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, had the words "HOPE" and "CHANGE" written on his hand during his press briefing today.
Was this stupid? Yes. Was it a big deal? No. Seems like something I would do...Both the hand notes, and making fun of someone for using hand notes.
John Brennan, Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, wrote an op-ed that appeared in USA Today today which outlined the Administration's handling of the Christmas Day bomber.
He also said:
Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda. Terrorists are not 100-feet tall. Nor do they deserve the abject fear they seek to instill.
So, let me get this administration straight. Aren't they doing exactly what they said Bush was doing? Suddenly dissent isn't patriotic.
I see he refers to Abdulmutallab as a "suspect" but asserts that administration critics, ipso facto, "serve the goals of al-Qaeda."In other words, in the eyes of one the administration's top men on counterterrorism, Abdulmutallab gets a presumption of innocence that you and I don't.
So, Iranian Punch will be served to Western Powers on Thursday, according to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Well Shah.
I have just received word that they will not be serving punch, but rather, will be serving a punch to the West.
"The Iranian nation, with its unity and God's grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned."
Well, I'm not entirely sure when the 22nd of Bahman is...so I would like to thank Breitbart for clearing that up...
Apparently, Thursday is the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran...so we'll see what the Religion of Peace has to offer.
Maybe they will serve punch...
While I think that this is something serious--can you tell?--Graham Enos isn't worried:
"I bet its just a super intricate fireworks show."
Boy howdy, if anything goes down, there are going to be fireworks, let me tell you.
Pat Kennedy, son of late, great, Ted Kennedy said,
"Brown's whole candidacy was shown to be a joke today when he was sworn in early in order to cast his first vote as an objection to Obama's appointment to the NLRB."
Hey, Pat, calm down, brother.
You're just mad that the "special interests"--AMERICANS--have gotten what they want.
